The growing monopolization of every sector of the economy in our world today, including the news and media, threatens our access to free, easily accessible, accurate information. There is a great need to track stories and issues that the corporate monopolies don't want us to be aware of. This web site is an independent media source. It is an attempt to cut through some of the media distortions and omissions that we are subject to from the corporate media sources.

This site is inspired by two Latin sayings, "nam et ipsa scientia potestas est" and "vincit omnia veritas", which respectively mean "For knowledge itself is power" and "Truth conquers all". If we wish to be informed, aware, and thus empower ourselves, we must become the media. We can no longer trust the corporate media to inform and educate us. This is my small effort to that end.

I am not affiliated with any political parties or corporations. I am not funded by any group at all. This site so far has been the work of mostly one person. I would like to say thanks to the webmaster who created and maintains this site. I also have to acknowledge the graphics designer who contributed the banner to this site.  Thank you.
