Court Rejects Wal-Mart's Anti-Flirt Code

German Wal-Mart employees will be able to keep flirting with each other after a German court on Thursday ruled that the supermarket chain's code of conduct that banned relationships between workers was illegal. Wal-Mart had also required its employees to report violations of the code relating to alcohol and drug use to a hotline. The court said that such rules, common in the US, are incompatible with German labor law. Wal-Mart can appeal the verdict but has so far declined to comment.
