A visit from the FBI

From Barry:

I had three FBI agents come to my NJ home as a result of benign posts in a Yahoo news forum.

It was like a visit from the mafia; one guy did the talking while two goons stood silently behind him.

After giving them my lawyer's number and refusing to engage in any other discussion, they made their big threat. "We're gonna have to contact your neighbors." Without missing a beat I responded, "Do what you do best, terrorize the whole neighborhood." At that point they figured out that the interview had concluded.

The next day they actually had the nerve to call my lawyer. I told my lawyer to ignore them and they eventually moved on to greener pastures.

What swine!

BTW, Martha Stewart definitively demonstrated that individuals have nothing to gain and everything to lose by voluntary participation in such encounters. Inadvertent incorrect statements made to a federal agent can result in prosecution for making a false statement. DON'T SAY ANYTHING, EVER!
