Ministry of Health (MOH) Report: 3804 Killed and 34431 Wounded During Al-Aqsa Uprising Until Today

GAZA, Palestine, August 1, 2005 (IPC) - - The Ministry of Health (MOH) declared today that 3804 Palestinians were killed by the Israeli occupation forces since the outbreak of Al-Aqsa uprising. As for, the number of the injuries, it got up to 34431.

A statistical report issued by MOH on the number of the killed people and the injuries, made clear that in 2002, 1177 people were killed, 191 of them were less than the age of 18.

The report clarified also, that in 2004, 890 people were killed, 155 of them were less than the age of 18. In 2003, 687 people were killed, 130 of the first-mentioned number were less than the age of 18.

The report referred that in 2001, 599 people were killed, 109 people of the first number were less than the age of 18; and in 2000 the number of the killed people was 317, whereas, 87 people were less than the age of 18.

During the last seven months, 134 people were killed, 42 of them were less than the age of 18.

According to the injuries, the report drew attention that 2001 was the most sanguinary year, whereas, the number of the wounded people reached 11461, 3912 of them were less than 18. And the year of 2000 occupied the second rank in view of the number of the wounded people, whereas the injuries' number reached 11444, and 4087 ones of them were less than 18.

The report pointed out that the number of the wounded people in 2002 reached 8503, where 2535 people of this number were less than 18.

It also mentioned that the number of the people who got wounded in 2004 went to 6203, where, 2253 of them were less than the age of 18.

The number of people who got wounded in 2003 went to 5040, 1708 of them were less than the age of 18, while, the during the last seven months the number of the injuries reached 780 ones, 258 of them were less than the age of 18.
