Let’s say you are an “affluent, middle-class Muslim” with “technical
and professional qualifications… particularly [an] engineering and IT degree”
and spent thousands of dollars and a lot of time obtaining said degree at a British
university. Does it make sense to believe you would throw all this hard work and
money away and join al-Qaeda after encountering “extremist recruiters”
on campus? No, it makes no sense—but then, when it comes to rational thought
in regard to Muslims, there seems to be a scarcity these days. “Extremists
are known to target schools and colleges where young people may be very inquisitive
but less challenging and more susceptible to extremist reasoning/ arguments,”
a “leaked”
Whitehall document claims (in other words, it was deliberately released to
the corporate media, hungry for dirt on Muslims in the wake of the London bombings,
acts as of yet unattributed—unless you consider a post on a so-called “Islamist
web site” message board attribution—although of course the immediate
assumption was al-Qaeda, whatever that means). The Home Office and Foreign Office
dossier contains a caveat: “Most of the Al-Qaeda recruits tend to be loners
‘attracted to university clubs based on ethnicity or religion’ because
of ‘disillusionment with their current existence’. British-based terrorists
are made up of different ethnic groups, according to the documents.” Let’s
call it the Lee Harvey Oswald School of Muslim Fanaticism. Oswald was a loner
too. Even so, according to the Brits, this translates into “16,000 potential
terrorists and supporters.” 16,000 Oswalds! Can you see where this is going?
Muslims will be detained and sent packing. “There’s a sufficient number
of people in this country willing to be Islamic terrorists that they don’t
have to be drafted in from abroad,” Lord Stevens, a former London police
chief, told the Sunday Times. In other words, Merry Old England is crawling with
Jihadist Oswalds.
