The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) attacked on Thursday a peaceful demonstration organized by a number of disabled Palestinians in wheel-chairs in support of the people of Bil'in village's anti-wall rallies.

"The IOF assaulted the participants, including 35 disabled persons who came from different parts of the West bank to boost the morale of the village's residents. Israeli teargas canisters and rubber-coated bullets didn't spare them and wounded some of them", Abdullah Abu Rahma, coordinator of the anti-wall committee in Bil'in said.

"We aimed at getting the attention of the whole world and tell them that those disabled people were the fruits of the Israeli continued assaults and aggression against innocent Palestinian civilians, and what we are doing now is merely defending our most basic human rights", he affirmed.

Also Thursday, the daily Hebrew newspaper, Ha'aretz, reported that the Israeli forces decided to step up its security measures in and around the Lebanese Sheba Farms, saying that the aim is to prevent attacks carried out by the Lebanese Hezbollah organization.

"The Israeli deputy chief of staff, Moshe Kibilinsky, approved a military plan allocating 2.3 million dollar to fortify the electronic security along the Farms and improve the monitoring equipments along the roads", it added.

According to Israeli military sources, "the plan will be implemented on two stages that might last for one year due the threats of Hezbollah"
