Do you really give a flying piece of French toast about the death of Fahd bin
Abdul Aziz al-Saud? I sure the heck don’t. Or do I care a fig about the
“transition of power” in Saudi Arabia, a deluge of non-news glutting
the front page of newspapers and web sites (now nudged out of place by another
non-story: the crash landing of an Air France Airbus A340 in Toronto). “Hundreds
of Muslim males—including presidents Pervez Musharraf of Pakistan, Hosni
Mubarak of Egypt, Bashar al-Assad of Syria and Hamid Karzai of Afghanistan,
and King Abdullah II of Jordan—crowded into Riyadh’s Imam Turki
bin Abdullah Mosque on Tuesday to hear the Koranic prayers for the dead chanted
over the body of Fahd, who ruled Saudi Arabia for almost a quarter of a century,”
reports the Sydney
Morning Herald. Nice to know the gang’s all there—even if they’re a gaggle
of tyrants and monarchs, with a handpicked puppet (Karzai) thrown in for good
measure—and they are “paying respects” to an absolute monarch
in an artificially created country with no recognized political parties or national
elections. Thus it is not surprising dictators and fellow monarchs have flocked
to Saudi Arabia to attend Fahd’s funeral and Buckingham Palace has “issued
a statement expressing the Queen’s sorrow at King Fahd’s death and
sending her best wishes to the new king, Abdullah,” according to the BBC.
For now Saudi Arabia will continue to be a repressive and medieval monarchy
with a dinky corrupt class of fat-assed monarchs and a fanatical clerical class
of al-Muwahhiddun throwbacks (Salafi or Wahhabi Sunni Muslims). For the parasitical
monarchs, the only concern is to stay in power and fend off al-CIA-duh and Qutbism
(based on the thought and writings of Sayyid Qutb), a form of Islam custom-made
by the Muslim Brotherhood, that is to say the CIA and MI-6 (it appears Qutbism
was created precisely to defeat Arab nationalism, in particular Gamal Abdel
Nasser’s form of Arab nationalism; see the CIA agent Miles
Copeland’s comments as quoted by Said K. Aburish, A
Brutal Friendship: The West and the Arab Elite). Good old al-CIA-duh will
become even more relevant in Saudi Arabia, regardless of what monarch rules,
because the neocon clique has decided Saudi Arabia is “the kernel of evil,
the prime mover, the most dangerous opponent” (as defined by Laurent
Murawiec) in the engineered war against Islam. No word on what “Crown Prince” Abdullah thinks about the neocon
plan to dismember Saudi Arabia along the lines of the post-World War I reconfiguration
of what had been Ottoman Arab territory, an idea put forward by the Zionist
Max Singer (he’d like to see the Saudi oil fields go to Shi’ite
Muslims). Sasha
Lilley writes: “British Member of Parliament George Galloway says
that a plan for the division of the Middle East is circulating in the corridors
of power on both sides of the Atlantic. … In a recent interview, Galloway
asserted that ministers and eminent figures in the British government are deliberating
the partition of the Middle East, harking back to the colonial map-making in
the first quarter of the 20th century that established the modern nation-states
of the region. An Anglo-American war against Iraq, he tells me, could be the
opening salvo in the break up of the region.” Of course, this configures
nicely with the long-held Zionist plan to balkanize the Arab and Muslim world
(as described by Oded
Yinon), an idea shared by the neocons (see my Bush’s
Wrecking Crew: Breaking Iraq into Six Pieces). So, ultimately, it does not
matter what corroded monarch rules Saudi Arabia: the desert “kingdom,”
home to the world’s largest pool of crude oil, is on the chopping block
regardless. |
