CIA says Iranian hostage photo does not show Iranian President-elect

As reported here on July 1 and 2, neocon-supplied photos intended to "prove" that incoming Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmedinejad as one of the hostage takers at the U.S. embassy in Teheran in 1979 have proven to be as phony as Iraqi WMDs and Niger government documents. A CIA analysis has concluded that Ahmedinejad was not one of the hostage takers shown in a photo released by a London-based Iranian exile group tied to the neocon Foundation for the Defense of Democracies. The neocon apparatus, in its usual premeditated manner, offered up a small group of right-wing ex-hostages who said one of them men in the hostage scene photo was definitely Ahmedinejad. In fact, Ahmedinejad was one of the 1979 student leaders in Teheran who advised against storming the U.S. embassy
