- Google’s plan 'to build a database that will compare the track record and credibility of all news sources around the world, and adjust the ranking of any search results accordingly' is a new form of censorship in the technological era.
- As distinct from the concept of real democracy, democratic fascism is a political ideology, fully backed up by corporate terrorists and war lords in the 'mainstream media' and academia, that adherents would apply to consummate police state at home and impose puppet regimes in the Muslim world, and which they propagate, besides with the barrel of a gun, through economic genocide.
- Today's U.S. also is undergoing a program of moral cleanliness. Censorship is in. Creativity and saying anything against the new morals automatically earns one the label of 'un-Amercan.' This counter cultural revolution took decades to implement. Today, it is solidly in place and shows no signs of abatement. It will stick around for years, if not decades. There is little opposition to it. - Make an assertion, promote your opinion, or provide your interpretation. Before your opponent can question your motive, strength of argument, or basis for your assertions, call for them to prove you wrong. Place the burden of proof for your assumptions on your opponent.
- A third federal agency has admitted it paid a journalist to write favorable stories about its work. Documents released by the Agriculture Department show it paid a freelance writer $9,375 in 2003 to "research and write articles for hunting and fishing magazines describing the benefits of NRCS (Natural Resources Conservation Service) programs." - Is that a bit of desperation coming from Bill O'Reilly? His show's lost a third of its viewers over the past few months and now he won't shut up about celebrities who refuse to put their heads on his chopping block of a show.
- Fox ran a one-hour documentary called "Iran: The Nuclear Threat." It glorifies Israeli preemptive attacks on Iraq and promotes a preemptive attack on Iran.
- To balance the anti-Chavez local press and pro-American CNN, Venezuela is launching a South American Al Jazeera. With journalistic heavyweights and a non-corporate vibe, the channel arrives on the scene as a number of Latin American nations are leaning politically left.
- Imitating Big Tobacco's fight against cigarette labeling, the PR industry launches a battle against regulation of government-funded "fake" news.
- Porn star and former gubernatorial candidate Mary Carey will be joining her boss, Kick Ass Pictures president Mark Kulkis, in attending a dinner with President Bush in Washington, D.C. on June 14. - What the mainstream media are giving us is elevator news. Recently, I encountered the term "WPN" (for "what passes for news"). I'd like to propose a related term, "Nuzak." It's a functional description of how WPN fits into the life of the average Joe, who never reads a newspaper except for the sports section.
- The internet's most popular search engine Google has been accused of supporting Chinese internet controls by omitting contentious news stories from search results in China. This has been going on for at least 1 year for China. Is this what happens in the USA too? - No e-mail is really private. There is no assurance that a message will reach only its intended target. With dozens of servers and satellites, people can read your messages if they expend the effort. Google is reading peoples' e-mails to target specific advertisements to them. - Pornographic film star Mary Carey, who ran for California governor in a recall election in 2003, and who is attending a Bush dinner, has been arrested in a raid on a new strip club in the Tacoma suburb of Lakewood, Washington.
- The hands of America's corporate-controlled news media are now dripping with the blood of those sacrificed in a war promoted and exploited for ratings and profit. May this blood that has been shed for their greed never wash clean, lest we forget how easily corruption, avarice and deceit can usurp democracy, blacken the hearts of humanity, and destroy the soul of a nation. - Young children who watch a lot of television are more likely to become bullies, a new study reveals. The authors suggest the increasingly violent nature of children’s cartoons may be to blame.
- The Lancet says that 100,000 Iraqis have been killed by the American invasion of Iraq. In view of this, which has been mainly ignored by the American media, we can say without hesitation that the war in Iraq is the greatest terrorist act of the new century. How can the CEO's of ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX and the New York Times defend the fabrications, deceptions and outright lies that played out day by day on the front pages of America's newspapers and paved the way for the killing fields of Iraq.
- The Media exists for the purposes of the corporate and government elites. These purposes include preventing ordinary Americans from having any say in their own government. The Media survives as a business only because ordinary Americans give them their money. We are the base of the pyramid, holding it all up. - ... believe the 5 corporations who own almost all of the media in the U.S. are liberal.
